Locked down 2 more locations today, with a few more on the way tomorrow and Saturday. I would say we are moving along at a good pace.

Our casting breakdowns were sent out, and by the end of the first day, we had a pleasant surprise waiting for us: several thousand hopefuls for the roles. Wow. And some names in there that took me very much by surprise. I promised that I wouldn’t divulge any names. But just…wow.

I am still humbled by this experience, since I helped write the casting breakdowns and reading through some of the notes that the actors and actresses have left expressing their interest just based on the description of the characters.

The nerve center in the production office is growing by leaps and bounds as we put up location pictures, actors/actresses, calendar events, and the like on the various boards. At a glance we can get the current state of the production. For someone that is new to this (i.e., me), it can appear overwhelming at first, but you get used to how it all works very quickly.

It just occurred to me that I should probably snap a few pictures for posterity. Who knows, I might get permission to post them up on a site somewhere for people to look at after the film comes out.

I have to be up and out the door early to lock a few more locations. Oh, and happy Friday the 13th to everybody!
