And, of course, our esteemed Director is the great Joel Bender. It has been amazing working with him so far on this challenging project. We have labored to make the script tight and tense without changing the story at all.
Our practical special effects man is Gene Witham, Academy Award nominee. Gene has been doing incredible work and is a truly gifted craftsman in the art of makeup effects.
Shooting is tentatively set for mid-May, but that may change as schedules for the actors do. Whew. Well, back to the production script.
I have been told by the director that I will be welcome on the set at any time, and indeed would almost be required to work with him and learn. If you want to make me feel humble, this is really how you do it. We went from having just a script to pre-production in literally no time at all. It’s still surreal to me.
