Yes, there is a story behind the cover art for Horror Screenwriting. Originally I had conceived of something more along the lines of a comic book depiction of Death driving a souped-up hot rod, cigarette in hand hanging out of the driver’s side window. But the final artwork became something even more.

Although I was there for only 5 hours, I had a blast at the Full Moon Tattoo & Horror Festival. The show’s organizers did a really awesome job of putting it together, although I think they could’ve used just a tad more space for some of the show, especially the tattoo section.
A lot of different things seem to be happening all at once regarding the book today. It seems a bit overwhelming, but I’ll try to get through it all.
From time to time, I get asked where my ideas for my horror stories come from. Over and over it’s almost the same kind of answer: I’m not entirely sure, but it’s somewhere in my head brewing away.
Received word a few minutes ago from my editor that the manuscript is being sent off to the designer. Which means that we have officially completed the editing on the book and are now waiting for the galley proofs to look over for any errors or corrections.
