Today’s short film is the lovely and heartwrenching Sarah.
Synopsis
A woman is searching for a miracle to bring her husband out of a coma. Meanwhile, her young daughter Sarah has another plan for contacting her father.
Review
I’m not going to lie. I cried like a bitch when I watched this. Something about little kids, imminent parental death, and those innocent questions that are hiding a potential fear underneath.
With only 1,000 feet of Super 16mm film stock, Ahmad Abdalla manages to capture a moving story. The sound is good, the composition is well framed, and the story doesn’t meander one bit.
