I would be remiss if there was no mention here of the recent launch of Joe Larson’s ASCIIpOrtal.  It’s free (PayPal donations are appreciated) with 50 levels in the base map pack, and plenty of others being made and posted as I write this.

Joe has been working tirelessly on this for the last year or so in conjuction with Cymon’s Games.

Binaries for ASCIIpOrtal are available for Windows, Linux (32- and 64-bit) and Mac OS X.  Source code is also included.
