Mutant on the Bounty, Coming Soon!

Last night’s ScreenTalk show was, in my opinion, the best one we’ve done so far.  Bill Martell is always a great go-to guy and Martin Lopez was a joy to have on.  We got to discuss something I think beginning screenwriters have a lot of misconceptions about: b-movies.

Having the writer of one of my favorite, funny movies on didn’t hurt either.  The conversation was engaging, informative, and hilarious.  If I wasn’t doing the show, I probably would never get to talk with many of these writers and executives.  Before I was a screenwriter I was a fan and lover of movies, so that part of me gets to jump up and down and ask all of those questions I’ve wanted to ask for years.

And the good news is, Mutant on the Bounty will be out on Blu-Ray sometime in the future.  We’ll have to get Martin back on so you too can get your fix of b-movie sci-fi/comedy that is hard to find these days.  Dare I say it, I’d actually say it’s funnier than Spaceballs.
