To get a DS or not … that is the question of the moment.  I didn’t really have a reason to, until this came along:

I’ve been a fan of Metal Slug since it first came out on the NEO*GEO all those many years ago.  The graphics are excellent with amazing detail, the gameplay is fast and furious, and every one is long and challenging, but not to the point where it’s literally impossible to beat.

When the Metal Slug Anthology came out, it was the reason I bought a Wii.  Now I’m hoping that they bring this out for the Wii as well, if for no other reason but to keep me from buying a DS.
